On Thursday, October 10, 2024, the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, First Judicial Department reinstated Wendy Elizabeth Witten as an attorney.

The case is entitled “In the Matter of Wendy Elizabeth Witten,” with case number 2024-05743.

Witten was suspended from practicing law in New York in 2010 due to failure to comply with Section 468-a of the State’s Judiciary Law regarding attorney registration.

Witten later complied with the law on August 12, 2024, and filed a motion seeking reinstatement. The court granted the motion and reinstated her law license in New York based on her compliance with the attorney registration requirement.

The order states:

“It is ordered that the motion is granted and petitioner is reinstated as an attorney and counselor-at-law in the State of New York, effective the date hereof.”

According to Martindale, Ms. Witten acquired her law license in New York in 1988.
