On Thursday, June 1, 2023, the New York Supreme Court Appellate Division Third Judicial Department entered an order striking San Francisco attorney Jennifer Jan Caballero’s name from the state’s roll of attorneys pursuant to Caballero’s application for resignation for non-disciplinary reasons.

The case is titled “In the Matter of Jennifer Jan Caballero,” with case no. PM-108-23.

According to the Memorandum and Order on Motion, Caballero has been admitted to practice in New York in 2013. Caballero sought resignation and filed her affidavit in support of her resignation, to which the Attorney Grievance Committee made no objections.

Accordingly, the Court, upon determination of Caballero’s eligibility to resign for non-disciplinary reasons, ruled in favor of Caballero.

The disposition reads:

“ORDERED that Jennifer Jan Caballero’s application for permission to resign is granted and her nondisciplinary resignation is accepted; and it is further

ORDERED that Jennifer Jan Caballero’s name is hereby stricken from the roll of attorneys and counselors-at-law of the State of New York, effective immediately, and until further order of this Court. . .”

Ms. Caballero graduated from Georgetown University Law Center in 2012. She had been licensed to practice in New York and currently practices as a staff counsel at the Commission on Judicial Performance in San Francisco, California. Her info can be found on LinkedIn.
