On Thursday, March 2, 2023, the New York Supreme Court Appellate Division Third Judicial Department entered an Order striking Pennsylvania Attorney Wendi Dawn Barish’s name from the roll of attorneys of the State of New York pursuant to the latter’s application for resignation from the state bar for non-disciplinary reasons.

The case is styled ‘In the Matter of Wendi Dawn Barish’ with case no. PM-42-23.

According to the Memorandum and Order on Motion, Barish has been admitted to practice in New York in 2014. Barish sought resignation and filed her affidavit on February 6, 2023, to which Attorney Grievance Committee opposed no objection.

Accordingly, the Court, upon determination of Barish’s eligibility to resign for nondisciplinary reasons, ruled in favor of Barish.

The disposition reads in part:

“ORDERED that Wendi Dawn Barish’s application for permission to resign is granted and his nondisciplinary resignation is accepted; and it is further

ORDERED that Wendi Dawn Barish’s name is hereby stricken from the roll of attorneys and counselors-at-law of the State of New York, effective immediately, and until further order of this Court.”

As of today, Ms. Barish is a Judge in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, 1st Judicial District, Pennsylvania. She has been licensed in New York, license no. 5253067, as well as in Pennsylvania. Her online bio can be found on LinkedIn.
