On Thursday, December 7, 2023, the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department reinstated attorney Yusun Park to the practice of law in New York.
The case is entitled “In the Matter of Yusun Park,” with case no. PM-273-23.
Park had been suspended from practice by an order issued in September 2022. On September 14, 2023, Park filed a motion seeking reinstatement. He submitted an affidavit and exhibits showing that he was now in compliance with the suspension rules.
The Attorney Grievance Committee for the Third Judicial Department, which investigates attorney misconduct, filed a responsive letter on November 9, 2023.
In a decision issued on December 7, 2023, the Appellate Division ruled that Park had demonstrated by clear and convincing evidence that he had complied with the terms of his September 2022 suspension order. The court also found that Park possesses the requisite character and fitness to once again practice law in New York.
Citing compliance with the attorney disciplinary rules regarding reinstatement, the panel unanimously granted Park’s motion and reinstated him to the practice of law in New York.
The Disposition states:
“ORDERED that respondent’s motion for reinstatement is granted; and it is further ORDERED that respondent is reinstated as an attorney and counselor-at-law, effective immediately.”
