On Thursday, August 10, 2023, the New York Supreme Court Appellate Division Third Judicial Department granted attorney Hillary Diana LeBeau’s application for resignation for non-disciplinary reasons.
The case is entitled ‘In the Matter of Hillary Diana LeBeau,’ with case no. PM-170-23.
Attorney Hillary Diana LeBeau sought permission to resign from the New York Bar for non-disciplinary reasons. LeBeau submitted an affidavit on July 25, 2023, followed by a July 31, 2023, response from the Chief Attorney of the Attorney Grievance Committee for the Third Judicial Department (AGC). Notably, the AGC did not oppose LeBeau’s application.
After thorough consideration, the court found that LeBeau was eligible to resign for non-disciplinary reasons and, therefore, granted her application. As a result, her resignation from the New York bar was accepted. The order stipulated that Hillary Diana LeBeau’s name was to be removed from the roll of attorneys and counselors-at-law of the State of New York, effective immediately and until further order. She was directed to cease practicing law in any capacity within the state, including appearing before courts or public authorities. Additionally, LeBeau was required to surrender any attorney secure pass issued to her to the Office of Court Administration within 30 days of the decision.
The order states:
“ORDERED that Hillary Diana LeBeau’s application for permission to resign is granted and her nondisciplinary resignation is accepted, and it is further ORDERED that Hillary Diana LeBeau’s name is hereby stricken from the roll of attorneys and counselors-at-law of the State of New York, effective immediately, and until further order of this Court ”
As of today, LeBeau is listed in the law firm of Woodley & McGillivary LLP as a practicing attorney. She attended Cornell Law School. She was licensed in New York with license no. 5506555. Her info can be found on lawyersjustia.com.
