On Thursday, August 24, 2023, the Appellate Division of the State of New York Supreme Court, Third Judicial Department granted the motion for reinstatement filed by Attorney Timothy Jonathan Manion who was suspended in September 2022 for failure to comply with the biennial registration of attorneys.

The case is titled “In the Matter of Timothy Jonathan Manion,” with case no. PM-190-23.

Attorney Manion submitted his notice of motion and affidavit with exhibits sworn to on March 21, 2023. Considering these and the responsive correspondence from the Third Judicial Department, the Court determined by clear and convincing evidence that Attorney Manion now possesses the requisite character and fitness to practice law again. The Court likewise found that Attorney Manion had satisfactorily complied with the order of suspension and the rules of the Court. Hence the Court granted the motion and reinstated Attorney  Manion into the practice of law in the state.

The order reads:

“ORDERED that respondent’s motion for reinstatement is granted, and it is further

 ORDERED that respondent is reinstated as an attorney and counselor-at-law, effective immediately.”
