On Friday, December 19, 2025, the New Jersey Supreme Court reprimanded attorney Carlos E. Jimenez for violating Rules of Professional Conduct (RPC) 3.2 and 8.4(g). The ruling stems from a motion for discipline by consent, DRB 25-195, granted by the Disciplinary Review Board.
The case is entitled “In the Matter of Carlos E. Jimenez,” with case number 091333.
The consent agreement between the Office of Attorney Ethics and Jimenez stipulated that he failed to treat all persons involved in the litigation process with courtesy and consideration, violating RPC 3.2. Furthermore, Jimenez was found to have engaged in conduct involving discrimination, specifically sexual harassment, a violation of RPC 8.4(g).
The Disciplinary Review Board deemed a reprimand the appropriate disciplinary measure for Jimenez’s unethical conduct. In addition to the reprimand, the court ordered Jimenez to complete sexual harassment training approved by the Office of Attorney Ethics. This training must be completed at Jimenez’s expense within sixty days of the court’s order.
The Supreme Court’s order mandates that the complete record of the proceedings be permanently included in Jimenez’s file as an attorney at law in New Jersey. Moreover, Jimenez is required to reimburse the Disciplinary Oversight Committee for administrative costs and actual expenses incurred during the prosecution of the matter.
According to Avvo, Mr. Jimenez is a criminal defense lawyer in Perth Amboy, NJ. He acquired his law license in New Jersey in 1996.
