On Wednesday, September 14, 2022, the Supreme Court of New Jersey, acted on the Disciplinary Review Board’s decision in DRB 21-181, concluding with the censure of former Barnegat Light attorney Marc A. Spielberg in relation to the charges for attorney discipline against the latter for failure to cooperate with disciplinary authorities and for his conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice.
The case titled ‘Marc A. Spielberg’ was brought by the Disciplinary Review Board.
In its Order, the Court dissented with the decision of the Board, stating:
“And the Court having determined from its review of the matter that a reprimand is the appropriate quantum of discipline for respondent’s unethical conduct;”
The dispositive portion of which, reads:
“It is ORDERED that Marc A. Spielberg is hereby reprimanded; and it is further
ORDERED that Marc A. Spielberg remain suspended from practice pursuant to the Orders of this Court filed September 10, 2020, and June 30, 2022; and it is further

ORDERED that respondent reimburse the Disciplinary Oversight Committee for appropriate administrative costs and actual expenses incurred in the prosecution of this matter, as provided in Rule 1:20-17.”
According to Avvo, Mr. Spielberg attended the Boston University School of Law. He practiced in Barnegat Light, and he has been licensed in New Jersey.
