On Thursday, June 29, 2023, attorney Michael Lee Fitzgerald has been granted permission by the State of New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division Third Judicial Department to resign from the New York Bar for non-disciplinary reasons.
The case is entitled “In the matter of Michael Lee Fitzgerald” with case no. PM-133-23.
Michael Lee Fitzgerald, an attorney admitted to practice in New York in 2015, has sought permission to resign from the New York Bar for non-disciplinary reasons. The Attorney Grievance Committee for the Third Judicial Department noted that it does not oppose Fitzgerald’s application.
Having reviewed the affidavit of Michael Lee Fitzgerald, which was sworn on May 3, 2023, and filed on May 5, 2023, as well as the correspondence dated June 21, 2023, in response from the Chief Attorney for the Attorney Grievance Committee (AGC), it has been ascertained that Fitzgerald meets the requirements for resigning on grounds unrelated to disciplinary matters. Consequently, his application was approved, and his resignation is acknowledged and accepted by the court.
The order states:
“ORDERED that Michael Lee Fitzgerald’s application for permission to resign is granted and his nondisciplinary resignation is accepted.”
Mr. Fitzgerald has been licensed in New York with license no. 5320171.
