On Tuesday, February 27, 2024, Conan Daily reported that Raleigh lawyer Timothy Lyons was arrested for a second time. The 31-year-old was first arrested on February 21, 2024, after turning himself in to Cary police to speak with an officer.

Lyons was charged with a felony for secretly using his iPod to film or photograph a minor under their clothes without consent. A judge then prohibited Lyons from contact with anyone under 18 and released him on a $5,000 bond.

However, Lyons’ legal troubles were not over. On February 27, 2024, he was arrested again and accused of attempting to take immoral, improper, and indecent liberties with a child. Lyons was charged with indecent liberties with a child and jailed without bond.

According to the report, Lyons was born in Connecticut and registered to vote in Wake County in 2015. While he admitted to secretly recording young people previously, Lyons claimed he did not touch or harm anyone.

The arrest brings much scrutiny to Lyons, who worked as a lawyer in Raleigh but had no prior criminal record before these incidents. He now faces serious felony charges that could affect his legal career.
