On January 9, 2023, the New York Supreme Court Appellate Division Third Judicial Department entered an Order striking Attorney Anna Maria Braun’s name from the roll of attorneys of the State of New York pursuant to the latter’s application for resignation from the state bar for non-disciplinary reasons.

The case is styled ‘In the Matter of Anna Maria Braun’ with case no. PM-24-23.

According to the Memorandum and Order on Motion, Braun has been admitted to practice in New York in 2008. On December 29, 2022, Braun submitted her affidavit in an effort to resign, and the Attorney Grievance Committee made no objections.

Accordingly, the Court, upon determination of Braun’s eligibility to resign for non-disciplinary reasons, ruled in favor of Braun.

The disposition reads in part:

“ORDERED that Anna Marie Braun’s application for permission to resign is granted and his nondisciplinary resignation is accepted; and it is further

ORDERED that Anna Marie Braun’s name is hereby stricken from the roll of attorneys and counselors-at-law of the State of New York, effective immediately, and until further order of this Court.”

Anna Maria Braun is an attorney with Bar Admission in Germany and in New York, license no. 4595344
