On Friday, August 2, 2024, the Supreme Court of Ohio published an administrative action notification reinstating one attorney previously suspended from practicing law in the state.

According to the document, Benjamin Patrick Smith of Indiana had his law license suspended on November 3, 2015, for failure to comply with attorney registration requirements. However, Smith has since applied for reinstatement, fulfilling all registration and fee obligations under Gov. Bar R. VI(2).

As a result, he was allowed to resume legal practice after being reinstated on July 22, 2024. The court document provided the outline of Smith’s suspension for non-compliance and subsequent reinstatement once all necessary steps had been completed, allowing him to return to the profession in Ohio.
