On Monday, December 8, 2025, the Supreme Court of Oklahoma granted the petition for reinstatement of Attorney Brandy Kearney Chambers to the Oklahoma Bar Association. Chambers, who previously resigned her membership on February 14, 2014, had been practicing law in Texas under Texas Bar License No. 24041169.

The case is entitled “In the Matter of Brandy Kearney Chambers,” with case no. SCBD#7913.

Chambers filed her petition for reinstatement on May 29, 2025. The Professional Responsibility Tribunal held a hearing on August 28, 2025, where they reviewed testimony and joint exhibits before recommending Chambers’ reinstatement to Active Member status.

The Supreme Court found that Chambers met all procedural requirements for reinstatement as outlined in Rule 11 of the Rules Governing Disciplinary Proceedings. They also determined, through clear and convincing evidence, that Chambers had not engaged in the unauthorized practice of law in Oklahoma or any other state. Furthermore, the court found that Chambers demonstrated the competency and learning in law necessary for reinstatement, as well as possessing the good moral character required to be reinstated to the Oklahoma Bar Association.

The reinstatement is effective January 1, 2026. The court also ordered Chambers to pay $972.80 to the Oklahoma Bar Association within sixty days to cover the costs incurred during the reinstatement proceeding. Additionally, Chambers is required to complete accredited continuing legal education each calendar year and report it according to the Rules for Mandatory Continuing Legal Education. Chambers is also directed to pay bar dues of $350.00 for the 2026 calendar year.
