On Friday, December 8, 2023, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court disbarred Philadelphia attorney Stacey Ellen Barish.

The case is entitled “Office of the Disciplinary Counsel v. Stacey Ellen Barish,” with case no. 165 DB 2023.

While details of the allegations were not disclosed, Barish chose to resign permanently from practicing law rather than face possible disbarment proceedings.

Following Barish’s Verified Statement of Resignation, in an order dated December 8, 2023, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court disbarred Barish upon her consent to resign.  Barish must comply with court rules regarding resigned attorneys and pay costs associated with the disciplinary process.

According to avvo.com, Ms. Barish was a government attorney in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She attended the University of Pennsylvania. She acquired her law license in Pennsylvania in 1989.
