On Wednesday, January 18, 2023, the State of West Virginia, Supreme Court of Appeals indefinitely suspended attorney Dennis J. Willett.

The case is entitled “In the matter of Dennis J. Willett” and was brought by the Office of Lawyer Disciplinary Counsel with case no. 21-1032.

The chronological order of the matter started on October 5, 2022, when the Hearing Panel Subcommittee of the Lawyer Disciplinary Board, spearheaded by Chair David A. Wandling issued its written recommendation disposition that Mr. Wallet, the respondent, be indefinitely suspended with the right to file a petition for reinstatement in one year.

This was verified and consented then by the Senior Lawyer of the Disciplinary Counsel, Andrea J, Hinerman on October 26, 2022. On the other hand, the respondent didn’t file any objection to the said recommendation of his sanction.

Upon considering the facts of the Recommendation, On January 12, 2023, the Court concurred with the approved recommendation disposition of the Hearing Panel Subcommittee of the Lawyer and Disciplinary Board. The Supreme Court of Appeals of the State of West Virginia ordered the suspension of attorney Dennis J, Willlet indefinitely with the right to file a petition for reinstatement after one year of suspension.
