On Monday, January 23, 2023, the State of New York, Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department granted the Application for permission to resign and Non-Disciplinary Resignation of attorney Shira Nicole Hollander.

The case is entitled “In the matter of Shira Nicole Hollander” with case no. Pm-06-23.

The Respondent was admitted in 2014 and listed her business address in Washington, DC with the Office of the Court Administration. But after some years, Ms.Hollander wished to resign from the New York Bar for Non-Disciplinary reasons.

As per the advice of the Attorney Grievance Committee for the Third Judicial Department not to oppose the respondent’s application and upon reading Ms. Hollander’s sworn Affidavit filed on November 2, 2022, along with the correspondence in response by the Chief attorney of ACG, and lastly, by having determined that the respondent is eligible to resign for non-disciplinary reasons, the court granted her application and accept the aforesaid resignation.

The Court ordered that Shira Nicole Hollander’s name be stricken from the roll of attorneys and counselors-at-law of the State of New York as per the results of the grant of Application. The respondent is also commanded to desist and refrain from the practice of law in any form in the State of New York.
