On Monday, November 14, 2022, the Supreme Court of Ohio ordered the reinstatement of Richmond Heights attorney John Alex Morton.

The case is styled Cleveland Metro Bar Association v. Morton and was brought by John Alex Morton, under case no. 2020-1520.

According to the filing, on November 23, 2021, Morton was suspended from law practice for one year, with six months stayed on condition.

Morton’s suspension stemmed from the improper, undignified, and discourteous statements that impugned the integrity of judicial officers in a document filed in court.

The Court found that Morton has complied with the Order and with the provisions of Supreme Court Rules for the Government of the Bar of Ohio V(24) and ruled in favor of Morton and granted his petition.

The Disposition reads:

“Therefore, it is ordered by this court that respondent is reinstated to the practice of law in the state of Ohio.”

Mr. Morton practices in Richmond Heights, Ohio. He attended Case Western Reserve University School of Law. He has been licensed in Ohio, as well as in California. Morton’s info can be found on Avvo.
