On Wednesday, January 11, 2023, the Attorney Discipline Board of the State of Michigan ordered the reinstatement of Southfield attorney Michael D. Langnas to the practice of law in the state.
The case was brought by the Attorney Grievance Commission under Case No. 22-48-GA.
Mr. Langnas was suspended by consent by Tri-County Hearing Panel #56 on December 7, 2022, for 30 days effective December 12, 2022. Mr. Langnas’ suspension stemmed from his admissions of the factual allegations set forth in the formal complaint for IOLTA account violations.
According to the Order of Reinstatement, Mr. Langnas submitted an affidavit showing compliance with all the requirements stated in the panel’s order. The Grievance Administrator advised the Board that it posed no objection to Mr. Langnas’ affidavit.
Correspondingly, the Board ruled in favor of Mr. Langnas and reinstated him to the practice of law effective January 11, 2023.
