Supreme Court grants Attorney Daniel Jonathan Young’s application to resign from NY Bar

On Thursday, August 3, 2023, the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department granted the application of attorney Daniel Jonathan Young to resign from the NY bar for non-disciplinary reasons.

The case is titled “In the Matter of Daniel Jonathan Young,”  case no. PM-162-23.

According to the court document, Young filed a motion seeking to resign from the New York State Bar on April 26, 2023, to which the Attorney Grievance Committee did not file any objection.

Following a thorough review of the application, the Court, having determined Young’s eligibility to resign for non-disciplinary reasons, granted and accepted his resignation.

Young’s name was struck from the roll of attorneys and counselors-at-law of the State of New York and was prohibited from practicing law in any capacity, appearing as an attorney in court, providing legal opinions or advice, or holding himself out as an attorney.

Mr. Daniel Jonathan Young primarily practices in Austin, Texas. He attended the University of Chicago, graduating in 1992. He had been licensed to practice in New York in 1993, license no. 2531788.
