On Friday, October 18, 2024, the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia issued an admonition against inactive attorney Brett N. Mayes in a reciprocal disciplinary matter.
The case is entitled “In the Matter of Brett N. Mayes.”
According to the order from the court, the Hearing Panel Subcommittee of the Lawyer Disciplinary Board recommended the admonition after presenting the case on June 11th.
The Court agreed with and approved the recommended disposition from the Subcommittee. Brett N. Mayes is now officially admonished by the Appeals Court as outlined in the order, which serves as official notice of the disciplinary action taken against the inactive attorney.
