On Thursday, September 7, 2023, the Supreme Court of Florida took decisive action against attorney Ronald Stuart Lubetsky in response to a complaint filed by The Florida Bar. The Court has ordered Lubetsky’s suspension from practicing law, pursuant to Rule 3-7.2(f) of the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar.

The case is entitled “The Florida Bar v. Ronald Stuart Lubetsky.”

Lubetsky, a member of The Florida Bar since October 31, 2002, faced serious charges related to the unlawful dispensing of controlled substances. These charges were brought against him in the Southern District Court of Florida, in the case United States of America v. Ronald Stuart Lubetsky.

The Florida Bar has filed a notice of determination or judgment of guilt against Lubetsky due to his conviction in a federal court of seven counts of knowingly and intentionally dispensing controlled substances without authorization by law. The Florida Bar sought a court order against Lubetsky, requesting that he be found guilty of breaching the Rules of Professional Conduct, be suspended from practicing law, and be required to provide a copy of the suspension order to relevant parties.

The notice of determination of judgment of guilt states:

“On or about January 10, 2023, a judgment was entered finding respondent guilty of the seven (7) counts and respondent was committed to the custody of the United States Bureau of Prisons to be imprisoned for a total term of sixty (60) months.”

In response to the request, the Supreme Court of Florida issued an order suspending Lubetsky from practicing law.

The Disposition states:

“The Florida Bar having filed on September 07, 2023, Notice of Determination or Judgment of Guilt, it is ordered that Ronald Stuart Lubetsky is suspended from The Florida Bar pursuant to 3- 7.2 of the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar, and it is further ordered that this suspension shall be effective thirty days from the date of this order so that respondent can close out his practice and protect the interests of existing clients.”

According to avvo.com, Mr Lubetzky is an attorney in Deerfield Beach, Florida. He attended the University of Miami School of Law. He acquired his law license in Florida in 2002.
