On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, the Supreme Court of Missouri issued an order suspending attorney Joseph Ryan Rigerix from practicing law in the state. The suspension, which is stayed, stems from reciprocal discipline proceedings initiated after Rigerix faced disciplinary action in Colorado.
The case is entitled “In the Matter of Joseph Ryan Rigerix,” with case no. SC101170.
The Chief Disciplinary Counsel filed an information and motion for reciprocal discipline, informing the court that the Supreme Court of Colorado had previously suspended Rigerix in a case titled The People of the State of Colorado v. Joseph Ryan Rigerix, No. 23PDDJ054. The Colorado disciplinary action was based on violations of the Colorado Rules of Professional Conduct.
The Supreme Court of Missouri found that Rigerix’s conduct in Colorado also constituted violations of Missouri Rules of Professional Conduct, specifically Rules 4-1.3, 4-1.4(a)(1), 4-1.4(b), 4-8.4(c), and 4-5.5(a). Rigerix had been issued a show-cause order on July 2, 2025, to which he responded.
The court’s order stipulates that Rigerix is suspended indefinitely from practicing law in Missouri. However, the suspension is stayed, and Rigerix will instead be placed on probation for one year, effective from the date of the order. The terms and conditions of this probation are detailed in the Information and Motion for Reciprocal Discipline filed with the court.
In addition to the probation, Rigerix is required to pay a fee of $1,500.00 to the Clerk of the Court, to be credited to the Advisory Committee Fund, as per Rule 5.19(k). He is also responsible for covering the costs associated with the proceedings.
According to Avvo.com, Mr. Riegerix is a personal injury attorney in Denver, Colorado. He attended the Wake Forest University School of Law, graduating in 2013. He acquired his law license in Missouri in the same year.
