On Tuesday, March 4, 2025, the Supreme Court of Missouri reprimanded attorney Jovanna Rene’e Bearden. The decision stemmed from findings that Bearden breached several Rules of Professional Conduct.
The case is entitled “In the Matter of Jovanna Rene’e Bearden,” with case no. SC100642.
The ruling came after a thorough review process, including a complete record from the Disciplinary Hearing Panel, as well as briefs and arguments presented to the court. Chief Justice Mary R. Russell signed the order, which outlined the violations and the disciplinary action. The court sustained a motion for reciprocal discipline, resulting in Bearden receiving an official reprimand.
In addition to the reprimand, the Supreme Court imposed financial penalties on Bearden. She was ordered to pay a $750 fee under Rule 5.19(k), directed to the Clerk of the Court for the Advisory Committee Fund.
