On Thursday, September 11, 2025, the Supreme Court of New Jersey reprimanded attorney Jonathan D’Agostino following a Disciplinary Review Board decision regarding his professional conduct.

The case is entitled “In the Matter of Jonathan D’Agostino,” with case no. 090878.

The reprimand stems from D’Agostino’s violations of several Rules of Professional Conduct (RPC) related to the handling of client funds and recordkeeping. The Disciplinary Review Board (DRB) granted a motion for discipline by consent, pursuant to Rule 1:20-10(b).

The Office of Attorney Ethics (OAE) and D’Agostino had previously entered into a stipulation of discipline by consent, agreeing that D’Agostino violated RPC 1.15(a) concerning commingling and negligent misappropriation of client funds, RPC 1.15(d) for failing to comply with recordkeeping requirements as per Rule 1:21-6, and RPC 8.1(b) for failing to cooperate with disciplinary authorities.

In addition to the reprimand, D’Agostino is required to submit monthly three-way reconciliations to the OAE every quarter for two years. The Supreme Court also ordered that the entire record of the matter be made a permanent part of D’Agostino’s file as an attorney, and that D’Agostino reimburse the Disciplinary Oversight Committee for administrative costs and expenses incurred in the prosecution of the matter.

According to Avvo.com, Mr. D’Agostino is a personal injury attorney in Staten Island, New York. He attended Brooklyn Law School, graduating in 1989. He acquired his law license in New Jersey in the same year.
