On Wednesday, February 15, 2023, the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania disbarred attorney Kimberly J. Simon-Pratt for felony charges
The case is entitled “Office of the Disciplinary Counsel v. Kimberly J. Simon-Pratt,” with case no. 14. DB 2023.
4Abc reported on December 1, 2022, that the respondent has been charged with felony counts of theft by unlawful taking after alleged misuse of money. Allegedly, after the respondent left her office, she brought with her more than $22,000 of client retainer fees which should have been deposited into a trust account. However, Ms. Kimberly misused the money for her personal gain.
After the incident, the respondent filed a Verified Statement of Resignation. The Court has considered the said resignation and decided to disbar Ms. Kimberly on consent from the Bar of the Commonwealth. The Respondent is being Ordered to comply with all of the provisions of Pa. R.D.E.217 and to pay costs to the Disciplinary Board.
