On Tuesday, November 15, 2022, the Supreme Court of New Jersey, acted on the Disciplinary Review Board’s decision in DRB 21-114, concluding with the suspension of Hackensack attorney Madeline M. Marzano – Lesnevich in relation to the charges for attorney discipline against the latter for misconduct.
The case titled ‘In the Matter of Madeline M. Marzano-Lesnevich’ was brought by the Disciplinary Review Board.
The charges cited Rules of Professional Conduct RPC 1.15 (a) (failing to safeguard the property of clients or third persons that is in the lawyer’s possession in connection with a representation) and RPC 1.15(b) (failing to promptly notify a third party of receipt of property in which that party has an interest).

The Court agreed with the decision of the Board.
The Order reads:
“It is ORDERED that Madeline M. Marzano-Lesnevich be suspended from the practice of law for a period of three months, effective December 16, 2022, and until the further Order of the Court;”
