On Thursday, December 15, 2022, the Supreme Court of Florida ordered the revocation of West Palm Beach attorney Donald Nathan Jacobson’s membership in The Florida Bar, without leave to seek readmission amid pending disciplinary charges.

The case, titled In Re: Petition for Disciplinary Revocation of Donald Nathan Jacobson, was brought by Donald Nathan Jacobson under The Florida Bar File No. 2023-50,520(15E)FDR.

The following are as alleged and summarized from the Petition:

Jacobson is currently emergency suspended with the Court’s order dated March 10, 2022. He has disciplinary charges pending before a referee pursuant to the Order of emergency suspension. It was alleged that Jacobson was causing great public harm based on pending criminal charges for attempted first-degree murder and battery for which he is held without bond.

The Petition for Disciplinary Revocation without Leave to Apply for Readmission states:

“Petitioner knowingly and voluntarily submits this Petition for Disciplinary Revocation Without Leave to Apply for Readmission with full knowledge of its effect.”

The Petition continues:

“Petitioner contends that granting this Petition will not adversely affect the public interest, the integrity of the courts, or the confidence of the public in the legal profession. Further, Petitioner contends that granting this Petition will not hinder the administration of justice.”

The Petition additionally notes:

“Petitioner understands that the granting of this petition by the Supreme Court of Florida shall serve to dismiss all pending disciplinary cases.”

Jacobson respectfully requested that the Court grant his Petition and order that his membership in The Florida Bar be revoked without leave to seek readmission.

With the foregoing facts and discussions, the court granted Jacobson’s petition.

The Disposition reads:

“The uncontested petition for disciplinary revocation, . . without leave to seek readmission, is granted, subject to the continuing jurisdiction of this Court, effective immediately. . . Inasmuch as petitioner’s disciplinary revocation petition was submitted without leave to seek readmission,  his revocation is permanent . . .

Judgment is entered for The Florida Bar, 651 East Jefferson Street, Tallahassee, Florida 32399-2300, for recovery of costs from Donald Nathan Jacobson in the amount of $1,715.41, for which sum let execution issue.”

Prior to the revocation, Mr. Donald Nathan Jacobson attended the University of Miami School of Law, graduating in 1989. He had practiced in West Palm Beach, Florida. He had been admitted to both the Florida bar and the District of Columbia bar. His info can also be found on Avvo.
