Tacoma attorney Geoffrey Cross resigns rather than face pending allegations of misconduct in Washington

On Friday, January 13, 2023, Tacoma attorney Geoffrey Colburn Cross filed with the Disciplinary Board his resignation from the Washington State Bar Association.

The case is styled Geoffrey Colburn Cross, ODC File No. 22-01407.

According to Cross’s resignation form, copies of the grievance were e-mailed and physically mailed to him on October 17, 2022, and January 4, 2023, respectively. Cross stated that he is aware of the alleged misconduct that is currently pending against him, and instead of defending himself against the allegations, he will formally resign from membership in the Washington Bar permanently.

Cross’s resignation has become effective upon endorsement of the Disciplinary Counsel and filing the same before the Clerk.

Prior to his resignation, Mr. Geoffrey Colburn Cross practiced in Tacoma. According to Avvo, he had been licensed in Washington and California. His info can be found on the website of the Washington State Bar Association.
