On Friday, September 13, 2024, the Board of Professional Conduct announced that attorney Walter Francis Williams had been placed on disability inactive status by the Tennessee Supreme Court.
The case is entitled “In the Matter of Walter Francis Williams.”
The Board’s release of information indicated that Williams could no longer practice law after the Tennessee Supreme Court’s order transferring him to disability inactive status under Section 27.4 of Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 9.
To return to the practice of law, the document stated that Williams must seek reinstatement from the Supreme Court by demonstrating his disability had been removed as outlined in Section 27.7 of Rule 9.
According to avvo.com, Mr. Williams is a business attorney in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He acquired his law license in Tennessee in 1978.
