On Friday, October 28, 2022, the Supreme Court of Tennessee issued an Order of Reinstatement of Nashville attorney Nathan Scott Moore.
The case, titled In Re: Nathan Scott Moore was brought by the Board of Professional Responsibility. Case No. 2021-3205-5-AW-30.4d.
On April 14, 2014, Mr. Moore was suspended from the practice of law by Order of the Supreme Court of Tennessee. On October 1, 2021, Mr. Moore filed his Petition for Reinstatement, and the Hearing Panel on October 18, 2022, entered its Findings and Judgment for Assessment of Costs. recommending Mr. Drake be reinstated with conditions.
The Board of Professional Responsibility considered and approved the Judgment of the Hearing Panel on Mr. Drake’s petition for reinstatement and the Findings and Judgment for Assessment of Costs.
The Court, in its Order of Reinstatement, approved the Judgment of the Reinstatement Hearing Panel.
The dispositive portion of the Order reads:
“IT IS, THEREFORE, CONSIDERED, ORDERED, ADJUDGED, AND DECREED BY THE COURT:
- The Petitioner, Nathan Scott Moore, is hereby reinstated to the practice of law in the State of Tennessee pursuant to Tenn. Sup. Ct. R. 9, § 30.4(d), subject to the following conditions:
a. Mr. Moore, in accordance with Tenn.Sup.Ct.R.9,§12.9, shall engage a practice monitor for a period of twelve (12) months. During the first six (6) months, Mr.Moore shall meet with his practice monitor at least twice per month and thereafter at least once per month for the remainder of the first year. The practice monitor shall consult with Mr. Moore regarding his office practice and client case management to ensure adherence to best practices and ethical rules. Mr.Moore shall ensure the practice monitor provides monthly written reports to the Board regarding Mr. Moore’s progress and compliance.
b. Mr. Drake, during the probationary period, shall complete an additional five (5) hours of CLE per year in excess of the minimum yearly requirements. To the extent reasonably available, the additional CLE required of Mr. Drake shall focus on or be applicable to the area of law Mr. Drake intends to practice.
c. Mr. Moore shall strictly comply with the terms and conditions of his TLAP monitoring agreement and Cornerstone Treatment Plan recommendations with the exception of the recommended daily Zoom calls, which shall be at the discretion of Mr. Moore and his availability to participate.
