On Monday, September 15, 2025, the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board suspended the law license of Attorney Jennifer Grace Smyrnos. The suspension is indefinite and was issued due to an impairment that materially affects Smyrnos’s ability to practice law.

The case is entitled “In the Matter of Jennifer Grace Smyrnos,” with case no. 25-000-135265.

According to the consent order, Smyrnos acknowledged she is suffering from an impairment as defined in the Rules of the Supreme Court of Virginia. Kyle Elizabeth Skopic, serving as Smyrnos’s guardian ad litem, also consented to the suspension.

The Disciplinary Board found that Smyrnos’s underlying condition impairs her fitness to practice law.

The order for suspension was entered pursuant to Part Six, Section IV, Paragraph 13-23 of the Rules of the Supreme Court of Virginia. Smyrnos’s license will remain suspended until she can demonstrate that she no longer suffers from the impairment.

According to Avvo.com, Ms. Smyrnos is an immigration attorney. She attended Washington and Lee University, graduating in 2012. Shea acquired her law license in Virginia in the same year.
