On Monday, July 31, 2023, the Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board accepted the Affidavit Declaring Consent to Revocation of License submitted by Attorney Robert Edwin Dean, II.

The case is titled ‘In the Matter of Robert Edwin Dean, II,’ with case nos. 23-080-126978 and 23-080-t28558.

The revocation came amid a pending investigation of a disciplinary complaint against Attorney Dean. According to news, Dean faces a probe for sexual misconduct which was confirmed by the Virginia State Bar. In the same way, Attorney Dean acknowledged that the material facts contained in the complaint are true.

Based on these considerations, the Consent to Revocation was accepted by the Board, revoking Attorney Dean’s license to practice law and further ordering the striking off from the roll of attorneys the name Robert Edwin Dean.  Attorney Dean was likewise ordered to comply with the ‘Duties of a Disbarred Respondent’ as enumerated in Part 6, Section IV, Paragraph 13-9ofth.; Rules of the Supreme Court of Virginia. Mr. Dean was ordered to immediately give notice to his clients about the revocation and to institute ways to not hamper the litigation of the cases and client matters he handled.

In his Affidavit of Consent, Mr. Dean manifested his awareness of the pending investigation of his alleged misdeed and that his consent was voluntarily offered.
