On Monday, February 6, 2023, the District of Columbia Court of Appeals ordered the interim suspension of Washington attorney Evan Stuart Elan pursuant to the imposed discipline upon the latter in the State of Virginia.
The case is titled ‘In re Evan Stuart Elan’ with Case #2022-D203.
Elan’s discipline in Virginia arose from an Interim Suspension Order dated November 1, 2022, suspending Elan for failure to fully comply with a subpoena duces tecum issued by the Virginia State Bar. Elan’s suspension is effective until his full compliance with the said subpoena.
Accordingly, the Court deemed it proper to enter an Order placing Elan on an interim suspension in relation to Elan’s misconduct in Virginia.
Mr. Evan Stuart Elan practiced in Washington and has been licensed to practice in the District of Columbia, as well as in Virginia.
