our purpose

Born as a result of a long-since-settled legal spat between lawyers from the ALABSeries podcast and (Judicial Misconduct News Service) AbusiveDiscretion‘s founder, the title of our publication is a play on words-well-known in the legal profession. ALABnews contains the acronym commonly thought of as “All Lawyers Are B@$t@rd$” as the podcasters fancied it on their home page. As one of our taglines intimates, we suggest the far less crude, but dramatically more absurd “All Lawyers Are Blameless.”  

Our coverage focuses on the dirty-side of being a lawyer, better for our readers to understand when engaging one.

ALABnews will cover attorney discipline, attorney misconduct, legal malpractice, the true worst in the practice of law. ALABnews sources its news almost entirely from the public record.

Edward “Coach” Weinhaus, Esq. is the Managing Partner of legal services firm LegalSolved LLC. LegalSolved offers both legal services and non-legal services, including its former publishing arm, LegalSolved Publishing, now Judiciocracy LLC. Judiciocracy publications also include BlockTribune, DiplomaPrivilege, VowBreakers, and AbusiveDiscretion.

Coach started his career as an investigative reporter on Capitol Hill more than 30 years before launching ALABnews. In the meantime, he re-engineered the local news landscape founding the nation’s largest online local news operation based on public records.

Aside from running LegalSolved, Coach has been teaching law and entrepreneurship at UCLA Anderson since 2016. In the past, Coach served as faculty at the University of Chicago, Washington University in St. Louis, and Pepperdine University.
