On Thursday, May 22, 2025, the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department granted the application of Attorney Pia Manuela Eichberg to resign from the New York Bar for nondisciplinary reasons.

The case is entitled “In the Matter of Pia Manuela Eichberg,” with case no. PM-123-25.

Eichberg filed an affidavit on March 28, 2025, seeking to resign voluntarily. The court, presided over by Garry, P.J., alongside Egan Jr., Aarons, Reynolds, Fitzgerald, and Mackey, JJ., reviewed her submission and the correspondence dated May 14, 2025, from the Deputy Chief Attorney for the Attorney Grievance Committee. After consideration, the panel determined Eichberg was eligible to resign under the Rules for Attorney Disciplinary Matters (22 NYCRR § 1240.22 [a]).

The court’s order, effective immediately, removed Eichberg’s name from the roll of attorneys and counselors-at-law in New York. As part of the ruling, Eichberg is prohibited from practicing law in any capacity within the state, whether as a principal, agent, clerk, or employee of another. She is also barred from appearing as an attorney or counselor-at-law before any court, judge, justice, board, commission, or other public authority in New York. Additionally, the order prevents her from providing legal opinions or advice or presenting herself as an attorney in the state.

The court further mandated that Eichberg surrender any Attorney Secure Pass issued to her to the Office of Court Administration within 30 days of the decision.

The Disposition states:

“ORDERED that Pia Manuela Eichberg’s application for permission to resign is granted and her nondisciplinary resignation is accepted.”

According to Avvo.com, Ms. Eichberg acquired her law license in New York in 2001.
