On Thursday, June 5, 2025, the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, First Judicial Department granted Susan Katherine Slim’s motion for reinstatement as a retired attorney and counselor-at-law in the State of New York. The decision, effective immediately, followed a review of Slim’s compliance with state regulations.
The case is entitled “In the Matter of Susan Katherine Slim,” with case no. 2025-02311.
Slim was previously suspended on January 30, 2017, by the same court due to her failure to meet the requirements of Judiciary Law Section 468-a. The 2017 suspension order barred Slim from practicing law until further notice from the court.
In her motion for reinstatement, Slim demonstrated that she addressed the violations by complying with Judiciary Law Section 468-a on or about April 2, 2018, and April 11, 2025. After reviewing her submission and conducting due deliberation, the court, presided over by Justice Peter H. Moulton alongside Justices Barbara R. Kapnick, Saliann Scarpulla, Julio Rodriguez III, and Llinét M. Rosado, approved her reinstatement.
According to Avvo.com, Ms. Slim is a slip and fall accident attorney in White House Station, New Jersey. She attended Boston College Law School, graduating in 2004. She acquired her law license in New York in 2005.
