On Thursday, August 28, 2025, the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, First Judicial Department granted the reinstatement of attorney Tulay Berkpinar Farra. This decision follows her previous suspension from practicing law in New York due to non-compliance with Judiciary Law Section 468-a.

The case is entitled “In the Matter of Tulay Berkpinar Farra,” with case no. 2025-04259.

Farra had been suspended from her practice as an attorney and counselor-at-law as of November 20, 2013. The suspension was a result of her failure to adhere to the requirements outlined in the Judiciary Law, which necessitate certain compliance measures for attorneys.

In a recent motion for reinstatement, Farra demonstrated that she had met the necessary compliance obligations on two occasions—January 31, 2024, and July 8, 2025—after the initial suspension took effect. The court carefully reviewed the submitted documentation and deliberated on the matter before reaching a decision.

The ruling concluded that Farra had fulfilled the requirements to return to practice. Consequently, she is now reinstated as an attorney and counselor-at-law in the State of New York, with the reinstatement taking effect immediately.

According to Avvo.com, Ms. Farra is an attorney in New York, New York. She acquired her law license in New York in 2006.
