On September 7, 2022, the Supreme Court of Alabama ruled on the disciplinary charges filed against Pinson attorney Harrison Royster Jones concerning his recent arrest for attempting to smuggle heroin to a Jefferson County jail inmate.

On August 7, 2022, Jones was arrested and charged with trafficking heroin and promoting prison contraband after he was found to be in possession of 8.9 grams of heroin at Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office to visit his client. He was released on the same day after posting a $15,000.00  bond.

The Disciplinary Board of the Alabama State Bar, by an Order dated August 25, 2022, accepted Jones’ Consent to Disbarment.

Accordingly, the Court, acting upon the Disciplinary Board’s order, accepted Harriston Royster Jones’ consent to disbarment and ordered the disbarment of Jones from the practice of law in the State of Alabama, effective September 7, 2022.

Mr. Jones graduated from Samford University, Cumberland School of Law. Prior to his disbarment, Jones is a practicing attorney for H.R. Jones Law servicing Birmingham, Alabama. He had been licensed in Alabama. His info can be found on LinkedIn.
