On Thursday, July 11, 2024, the Presiding Disciplinary Judge of the Supreme Court of Colorado suspended attorney Mark David Goldman from practicing law for 30 days in a reciprocal discipline case.

The case is entitled “People v. Mark David Goldman,” with case no. 24PDJ023.

Goldman had previously received a 30-day suspension and two years of probation from the Arizona Supreme Court for misconduct in a federal case. Specifically, Goldman failed to appear at a status conference, did not comply with court orders including an order to show cause, and was absent from a contempt of court hearing in Arizona, which resulted in an arrest warrant.

Even after being found in contempt, Goldman continued ignoring court orders to obtain new counsel for his clients. Considering this misconduct violated Colorado rules for reciprocal sanctions, the PDJ suspended Goldman’s law license for 30 days to match Arizona’s penalty starting August 15, 2024. with the requirement that he also comply with the probation terms imposed by the other state.

According to avvo.com, Mr. Goldman is a litigation attorney in Scottsdale, Arizona. He attended the University of Michigan Law School, graduating in 1988. He acquired his law license in Colorado in 1990.
