On Thursday, July 31, 2025, the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, First Judicial Department granted the reinstatement of attorney Eric N. Vincent. This decision comes after Vincent was suspended for failing to comply with Judiciary Law Section §468-a.
The case is entitled “In the Matter of Eric N. Vincent,” with case no. 2025-03804.
The court’s order to suspend Vincent was issued on March 20, 2025, as part of a disciplinary action taken against him by the Attorney Grievance Committee for the First Judicial Department. The suspension was effective immediately and was to remain in place until further notice from the court.
Following the suspension, Vincent filed a motion seeking reinstatement. After reviewing the motion and the accompanying documents, the court acknowledged that Vincent had complied with the requirements of Judiciary Law §468-a as of May 30, 2025.
In its ruling, the court concluded that Vincent met the necessary criteria for reinstatement. As a result, the court granted his request, allowing him to resume his legal practice immediately.
According to the filing, Mr. Vincent acquired his law license in New York in 1992.
