On Monday, October 7, 2024, the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility announced the one-year suspension of Knoxville attorney Loring Edwin Justice from practicing law.
The case is entitled “In the Matter of Loring Edwin Justice.”
The charges cited Tennessee Rules of Professional Conduct 1.3 and 1.4.
According to the release, Mr. Justice represented a client in a workers’ compensation case but failed to communicate with them properly and neglected to provide diligent legal services as expected. This violated rules of conduct regarding due diligence of legal work and maintaining contact with clients.
As a result of his suspension, Mr. Justice must abide by requirements for suspended attorneys, including not practicing law or representing that he can provide legal counsel. To regain eligibility, he will have to complete reinstatement procedures established by the Tennessee Supreme Court.
According to avvo.com, Mr. Justice is an appeals attorney in Knoxville, Tennessee. He graduated from Yale Law School in 1998 and acquired his law license in Tennessee in the same year.
