On Tuesday, August 27, 2024, the Kansas Supreme Court issued an order fully discharging attorney Forrest A. Lowry from probation related to a previous disciplinary ruling.
The case is entitled “In the Matter of Forrest A. Lowry,” with case no. 125, 160.
Lowry had his law license suspended for 90 days in December 2022, but the suspension was stayed pending his successful completion of a three-year probation plan that began in January 2021.
On August 7, 2024, Lowry filed a motion seeking early termination of his probation under Rule 227(g)(1). The Office of the Disciplinary Administrator responded that Lowry had complied with all terms of his probation and confirmed his eligibility to be released.
With no objection from the ODA, the court granted Lowry’s request and officially closed the disciplinary case against him. As required, the order will be published in the Kansas Reports to formally document the end of Lowry’s probationary period with the state Supreme Court.
According to avvo.com, Mr. Lowry is a criminal defense attorney in Ottawa, Kansas. He acquired his law license in Kansas in 1988.
