On Thursday, February 1, 2024, the Maryland Supreme Court accepted the resignation from the practice of law of attorney Gail Dianne Sausser.
The case is entitled “In the Matter of Gail Dianne Sausser,” with case no. 34.
In its order, the court considered Ms. Sausser’s application to resign which was filed on January 12, 2024, and corrected on January 22, 2024. The Bar Counsel also provided a response stating they conducted an investigation and determined the requirements to resign had been met.
The court then ordered that Ms. Sausser’s name be removed from the register of attorneys in Maryland and for the Clerk of the Court to notify the Client Protection Fund and other judicial clerks of the resignation. With these orders, the high court officially accepted Ms. Sausser’s exit from legal practice in the state of Maryland.
The Disposition states:
“ORDERED, by the Supreme Court of Maryland, that the resignation of Gail D Sausser from the Bar of the State of Maryland is accepted; and it is further,”
