On Thursday, April 6, 2023, the Attorney Discipline Board of the State of Michigan suspended Alpena attorney Michael G. Mack for non-payment of costs.
The case was brought by the Grievance Administrator under case nos. 22-60-JC; 22-61-GA.
The charges cited MRPC 3.4(c), 8.4(c) of the Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct.
The Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct can be found here.
According to the filing, Mack consented to the imposition of a reprimand and further consented to pay $1,359.46 in costs based on Mack’s admissions of his failure to self-report his drunk driving conviction to the Grievance Administrator and the Attorney Discipline Board.
However, Mack failed to do so, and certification of nonpayment of costs was issued on April 12, 2023.
Based on the foregoing facts, the Board ruled to automatically suspended Mack’s license to practice law in Michigan until full payment of the costs or until a payment plan is approved by the Board.
