On Friday,  July 14, 2023, the State of Michigan Attorney Discipline Board reprimanded attorney John J. Puzzuoli’.

The respondent and the Grievance Administrator filed a stipulation for a Consent Order of Reprimand approved by the grievance commission and accepted by the hearing panel. In his stipulation, the respondent admitted the associated conviction he had of a misdemeanor in violation of MCL/PACC257.6253-A or operating a motor vehicle while impaired.

Based on the earlier conviction as stated on the stipulation, the hearing panel found the respondent to have transgressed against the rules of professional conduct.

The notice states:

“Based on the respondent’s conviction, admission, and the parties’ stipulation, the panel found that respondent committed professional misconduct when he engaged in conduct involving violation of the criminal law, where such conduct reflects adversely on the lawyer’s honesty, trustworthiness, or fitness as a lawyer, in violation of MRPC8.4(b); and, that violated a criminal law of a state or of the UnitedStates, an ordinance, or tribal law pursuant to MCR2.615, in violation of MCR9.104(5).”

Hence, the disposition reads:

“In accordance with the stipulation of the parties, the hearing panel ordered that the respondent be reprimanded. Costs were assessed in the amount of $759.48.”
