On Thursday, May 9, 2024, the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division Third Judicial Department accepted attorney Beth Ann Diebel’s resignation from the New York State Bar for nondisciplinary reasons
The case is entitled “In the Matter of Beth Ann Diebel,” with case no. PM-81-24.
Diebel had submitted an affidavit on March 11, 2024, requesting to resign, which the Attorney Grievance Committee for the Third Judicial Department did not oppose.
In its memorandum and order, the court reviewed Diebel’s application and determined she was eligible to resign for nondisciplinary reasons.
As a result, Diebel’s name will be stricken from the roll of attorneys authorized to practice law in New York, and she is prohibited from engaging in the practice of law or portraying herself as an attorney in the state going forward. The order also requires Diebel to surrender any Attorney Secure Pass issued to her within 30 days.
The Disposition states:
“ORDERED that Beth Ann Diebel’s application for permission to resign is granted and her nondisciplinary resignation is accepted.”
According to avvo.com, Ms. Diebel was an insurance attorney in Castleton On Hudson, New York. She attended the Albany Law School. She acquired her law license in New York in 2002.
