On Thursday, May 9, 2024, the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department granted attorney Todd Charles Fineberg’s request to resign from the New York State Bar for nondisciplinary reasons.
The case is entitled “In the Matter of Todd Charles Fineberg,” with case no. PM-82-24.
Fineberg had submitted an affidavit on February 27, 2024, requesting nondisciplinary resignation. The Attorney Grievance Committee for the Third Judicial Department did not oppose Fineberg’s application. The court reviewed Fineberg’s submissions and determined that he was eligible to resign.
As a result of the court’s order, Fineberg’s name was removed from the roll of licensed attorneys in New York State. He is now prohibited from practicing law or representing himself as an attorney in New York. Within 30 days, Fineberg must also surrender any Attorney Secure Pass issued to him by the Office of Court Administration.
The Disposition states:
“ORDERED that Todd Charles Fineberg’s application for permission to resign is granted and his nondisciplinary resignation is accepted.”
According to avvo.com, Mr. Fineberg is an attorney in Frederick, Maryland. He attended the Boston University School of Law. He acquired his law license in New York in 2010.
