On Thursday, September 11, 2025, the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department granted Attorney Olga Marina Lewnes’ application to resign from the New York bar for nondisciplinary reasons.
The case is entitled “In the Matter of Olga Marina Lewnes,” with case no. PM-205-25.
Lewnes’ affidavit was filed on July 21, 2025. The Attorney Grievance Committee reviewed Lewnes’ application and provided its correspondence dated August 26, 2025, expressing no opposition to her resignation.
The court determined that Lewnes met the eligibility requirements for a nondisciplinary resignation. As a result of the court’s order, Olga Marina Lewnes’ name will be removed from the roll of attorneys and counselors-at-law in the State of New York, effective immediately, and until further order of the court.
The order further commands Lewnes to cease practicing law in any form within the State of New York, whether as a principal, agent, clerk, or employee. She is prohibited from appearing as an attorney or counselor-at-law before any court, judge, justice, board, commission, or other public authority. Additionally, she cannot provide legal opinions or advice, or present herself as an attorney and counselor-at-law in New York.
The Disposition states:
“It is ORDERED that Olga Marina Lewnes’ application for permission to resign is granted and her nondisciplinary resignation is accepted.”
According to the filing, Ms. Lewnes acquired her law license in New York in 2000.
