On Thursday, April 24, 2025, the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department granted a motion for reinstatement to Attorney Huiting Zhou, who had been suspended from practicing law.
The case is entitled “In the Matter of Huiting Zhou,” with case no. PM-98-25.
The decision follows Zhou’s compliance with the court’s previous suspension order issued in September 2024, which cited violations of Judiciary Law § 468-a.
The court reviewed Zhou’s notice of motion and supporting affidavit, which included various exhibits sworn on January 21, 2025. Additionally, the Attorney Grievance Committee for the Third Judicial Department provided a response on February 24, 2025. After careful consideration, the court found clear and convincing evidence that Zhou had adhered to all requirements set forth during her suspension.
The court concluded that Zhou demonstrated the necessary character and fitness to resume her legal practice, and it determined that her reinstatement would serve the public interest. As a result, Zhou is now reinstated as an attorney and counselor-at-law, effective immediately.
The Disposition states:
“ORDERED that respondent’s motion for reinstatement is granted; and it is further ORDERED that respondent is reinstated as an attorney and counselor-at-law, effective immediately.”
According to Avvo.com, Ms. Zhou acquired her law license in New York in 2017.
