On Thursday, July 31, 2025, the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, First Judicial Department granted the reinstatement of attorney Joshuah Wallace Lisk. This decision follows Lisk’s suspension due to non-compliance with Judiciary Law §468-a.

The case is entitled “In the Matter of Joshuah Wallace Lisk,” with case no. 2025-04055.

The court had previously issued an order on March 20, 2025, suspending Lisk from practicing as an attorney and counselor-at-law in the state of New York. The suspension was effective immediately and remained in place until further notice from the court. The action was taken as a result of Lisk’s failure to adhere to the requirements outlined in the aforementioned law.

Following the suspension, Lisk filed a motion seeking reinstatement, claiming compliance with Judiciary Law §468-a as of June 23, 2025.

The court reviewed the motion and the supporting documents submitted by Lisk, and after thorough deliberation, determined that he had met the necessary conditions for reinstatement.

The court’s ruling allows Lisk to resume his legal practice in New York effective immediately.

According to the filing, Mr. Lisk acquired his law license in New York in 2015.
